ERIC KAUFMAN is Vice President and Partner of Lockton Investment Advisors, LLC and Lockton Financial Advisors, LLC and founder of Lockton’s Southern California Retirement and Executive Benefits Practice. With his extensive background in retirement, executive benefits and health care, he works with local and national employers to improve their operational and financial outcomes. Eric holds both a BS in Business Administration and an MBA in Business Management from the University of Southern California.
He also shares his knowledge on health and retirement benefits on his website, The Benefit Blog, which was recently named a “Top 10 Compensation and Benefit Blog” by HR Daily Advisor. He was also named one of the “Top 100 Retirement Plan Advisors” by Plan Advisor magazine in 2009 and 2010.
Through the encouragement of his friend and Foundation Chair, Vince Hambright, Eric decided to join the Foundation Board. “The Greater Los Angeles community has been very generous to me and my business over the years and I want give back,” says Eric. “On the board, I would like to continue the good work of those who came before me and find new ways to raise money for the hospital to keep it financially stable for years to come.” In addition, Eric has ties to the Glendale community because his parents have lived there for many years.
Eric and his wife Kym have been married for 20 years and live in Valencia. They have four sons, Clay, Mac, Ben and Hank. Their family enjoys RV camping at the beach at El Capitan, Shaver Lake and house boating on Lake Shasta. Eric is also a board member of the Santa Clarita Valley Athletic Associations and the Pasadena Child Development Associates (PCDA) that helps children with severe learning disabilities.
