Glendale Memorial's "Pay it Forward" Initiative Concludes After Providing Hundreds of Meals to Community Organizations

Since the Pandemic began back in March 2020, Glendale Memorial Hospital has received thousands of donated meals from community members and partners. These meals have inspired our nurses and front line health care workers during one of the most difficult moments in our careers. We were able to experience firsthand how a donated meal can make one's entire day brighter.

As a way to say thank you for all the community support our hospital received during the pandemic, our Mission Integration team coordinated the "Pay it Forward" initiative which provided 389 meals to four community organizations over the last 20 weeks!

Organizations who received meals from Glendale Memorial included; Family Promise of the Verdugos, Ascencia, YWCA Glendale and Coalition to Abolish Slavery and Human Trafficking (CAST). We are so appreciative of the services that these organization provide for our community especially during the ongoing COVID crisis. Thank you to our community partners for making this initiative possible!

Foundation Honors Hospital Volunteer with Memorial Plaque

On February 22nd Megan and Terry Cooper visited Glendale Memorial Hospital for the unveiling of a memorial plaque in honor of their brother Blair Gordon. Blair was a dedicated hospital volunteer who spent many volunteer shifts greeting visitors at the front desk.

Blair touched so many lives during his time as a volunteer which made the front desk the perfect location for his memorial plaque.  Positioned beside the "Hello" sign, Blair will continue to inspire all who visit Glendale Memorial.

Special thank you to Blair's family for their ongoing support of Glendale Memorial!
