Charity Golf Classic 2020 - Postponed

Due to continued community spread across California of the COVID-19 coronavirus, the Glendale Memorial Health Foundation has made the difficult decision to postpone our upcoming Charity Golf Classic, our tentative rescheduled date is Monday, June 22, 2020. The foundation, in conversation with hospital leadership, the full board, and staff believe that acting responsibly to postpone this event is in the best interest of our community. It is our optimistic hope that we will be able to move forward with the Charity Golf Classic June 22 date, but only time will tell. We assure you that we will update you as we know more.

Countries around the world and states across the nation have declared states of emergency to help address the outbreak. The CDC and others have requested that all events over 250 people be postponed at least through the end of March. As your local health care provider, we have a responsibility to flatten the curve of transfer and keep our community safe during this vital time. We have included a Center of Disease Control (CDC) graph below that illustrates how postponing large events helps reduce transmission and community spread.

Please know that we value you, our community, and all those that walk through our hospital doors, now more than ever. Our primary job is to help provide the vital resources to keep excellent, affordable care accessible to everyone that needs it throughout Glendale and beyond. We will be working with each of our sponsors and donors over the next week to ensure their continued participation and support of the Glendale Memorial Health Foundation Charity Golf Classic on Monday, June 22, 2020.
