Celebrating Success
Set on the beautiful evening of October 12th, Glendale Memorial Health Foundation’s 21st Annual Evening of Wine & Roses was an overwhelming success.
With over 700 people in attendance, the gala raised in excess of $100,000, which will support the next phase of the hospital’s education and training project with the future development of a new Education Training Center.
“This year’s Wine & Roses was truly sensational,” said Larry Cimmarusti, Wine & Roses chairman and Vice Chairman of Glendale Memorial Health Foundation’s Board of Directors. “The success of this event continues to grow more and more each year thanks to our generous sponsors and attendees.”
“We sincerely appreciate all of our event sponsors whose generosity made this evening possible,” said Jeffrey Close, Senior Vice President for Fund Development. “Special thanks go to our major sponsors Lakeside Community HealthCare and Woodbury University for their continued support of this event.”
With colorful, glowing decorations and red carpets, the hospital campus was transformed into an elegant evening getaway. Beginning with the reception, guests sipped on specialty cocktails from Tommy Bahama Rum while enjoying delicious hors’doeurves. Attendees could stroll along and bid on exclusive silent auction items, such as exotic trips to the Caribbean and autographed sports memorabilia.
The evening continued with offerings of extraordinary culinary delights from 25 of the area’s finest dining establishments including Providence Restaurant with owner and celebrity chef Michael Cimarusti in attendance.
To accompany the fine foods, leading California and European vintners brought a variety of wines for guests to enjoy thanks to the efforts of H.K. Hedlund, the new owner of Red Carpet Wine & Spirits of Glendale.
Throughout the evening, attendees enjoyed listening and dancing to the dynamic musical entertainment from the band Splash.
